Birdseye View - The Power of Perspectives
A shift in perspective offers us solutions, choices and answers we may not have seen otherwise. The subconscious is looking out into our environment to recognize cues. Seeing a car or other object you have been recently thinking about is the perfect example. This is happening constantly but with routine, our conscious mind doesn’t register it anymore. Shifting perspective is a tool we can use to see something that may have been in front us the entire time. It can also make new solutions stand out.

Shifting perspective is a tool we can use to see something that may have been in front us the entire time. It can also make new solutions stand out.
We can even hire our subconscious to work on solutions while we sleep. Before falling asleep, verbally instruct the subconscious to solve a problem you may be struggling with or find an answer that alludes you. First thing upon waking, free flow in your journey anything that comes up. Just let the words, images or symbols come to you without judgement. The tricky part may be convincing the conscious mind if what comes to you seems too simple, drastic or unknown. That’s because the conscious mind also likes familiarity and routine, designed to keep you well within your comfort zone.
This is where a meditation and mindfulness practice is useful.
Through Meditation we connect with higher consciousness and can begin to trust in the bigger picture, the unseen view. The mind is not capable of conceiving the infinite potentials available to us. Recall times in your life when something worked out in a way you could never have predicted. Even the so called “bad” events. Can you find the perfection in how things played out?
Taking the perspective that life is happening for us and through us rather than to us, allows for radical forgiveness and acceptance.
Consider all of the synchronicity and coincidences. Most often we remember the “good” ones but consider that all of life plays by the same rules. Look for the lessons, the opportunities to grow and learn remembering that we are co-creators in this journey. The better we understand this, the less likely we are to act helpless to our circumstances. Instead, we CHOOSE our perspectives and take back our power and our control over our choices, thoughts and emotions.
Love, Light and Limitless Potential,
Andrea
Snapshot Into Your Subconscious
This push forward or stay stuck, applies in many areas of your life. There are simple reasons why we struggle so much with adopting new behaviors that have positive impact on our Well Being. You will be happy to learn that it’s not your fault nor does it rely entirely on your motivation levels.
Let’s say you join a gym and begin taking a yoga class. Several times a week you take the class. At first you struggle to get through some of the positions and your body and mind fight back with inflexibility, soreness and thoughts of failure. This is the point where you make the choice to keep going, trusting it will get easier, or you let your habits, patterns, thoughts and beliefs get the better of you.
This tendency of ours to push forward or stay stuck, applies in many areas of life. There are simple reasons why we struggle so much with adopting new behaviors that have positive impact on our Well Being. You will be happy to learn that it’s not your fault nor does it rely entirely on your motivation levels.
Since it is estimated that we spend 95% of our day in unconscious thoughts and behaviors, how we show up in the world and our daily thinking becomes habitual and routine. A good example would be, when you arrive home only to realize you don’t remember paying any attention to actually driving.
What was your brain distracted by? Likely thoughts that you have had time and time again. this is a perfect opportunity to become more aware.
This perfect autopilot example highlights our ability to rely on learned habits, patterns and behaviors. The subconscious part of our brain really is the super computer, translating data significantly faster than the conscious brain.
When faced with the inevitable “push back” feeling from stepping outside your comfort zone, write down your thoughts and be with your emotions. Examine which ones are based in fear, especially fear as a result of change and the unknown. Highlight any self worth beliefs.
Pushing yourself outside of current limits is the perfect way to get a snapshot into your subconscious brain. These otherwise hidden programs can only show up to your conscious mind when you actually participate in ways that you don’t regularly do. Just like those stiff muscles from that new yoga class showed you where you lack flexibility and strength.
Be Well,
Andrea
